Committees

The Management Committee (MC)

is the second body of the City of Norderney. It consists of the mayor and six aldermen. The meetings of the Administrative Committee are not open to the public.
 

The most important tasks:

• Preparation of resolutions for the Council
• Passing resolutions in all matters in which the Council or Mayor are not responsible.

This includes, for example, the awarding of major contracts.

Other committees

The Council forms committees to enable more detailed discussions.

Its task is to prepare the decisions of the Council. The outcome of the committee's deliberations has the character of a recommendation to the Administrative Committee and the Council.
