The social reality...
- In the family, women are responsible for the majority of household chores and child rearing. The social value of family work is not adequately recognized.
- Many women are faced with the challenge of reconciling work and family life.
- Financial security in old age is worse for women than for men due to short or no employment or marginal employment.
- Women are underrepresented in management positions. They are often paid less for the same work and performance.
- In public life, women are greatly outnumbered in political parties, associations, social functions and other important organizations.
- Divorced people, single parents, people living alone, disabled people and older people often have to struggle with unfavorable life situations.
- Women are often affected by poverty in old age.
