Norderney offers a wide range of educational and leisure activities for children and young people.
Two daycare centers - the "Am Kap" daycare center and the "Kükennest" daycare center - look after the youngest island residents. The latter also offers 4 integrative places. There is an elementary school (grades 1 to 4) and a cooperative comprehensive school (grades 5 to 10). Pupils have to go to the mainland for the other years of secondary school. The youth café, the indoor play park "Kap Hoorn" or the beautiful library in the Conversationshaus invite you to play, browse and linger.
